Wally is one of the original’s here at Next Generation. At the 2015 American Chesapeake National Show Specialty he won the triple crown award for placing in 3 events. In 2016 he started his Hunt test career. Wally passed his 1st 3 Master Test at under 2 years of age and 5 HRC finished passes. Wally achieved his AKC master title a little over 2 years of age. He has qualified for the 2017/2018 and 2019 Master National. Wally PASSED the 2018 Master National!! In the spring of 2018 we started his show career where he finished his AKC Champion Title with 4 majors and a group placement. At the 2018 ACC National Show Specialty, Wally won a very competitive Hunting Dog Class.

Wally is sired by Frozen semen of Chestnut Hills Ironwoods Oak MH QAA. Oak have his AKC Master title, 2 plates at the Master Nationals and was Qualified All Age. Oak was a strong producer of hunt test dogs. Wally’s dam is CH Sandbar’s Oh So Naughty (Condi). Condi is a group placing female who has produced very nicely.

At the 2024 Westminster Dog Show Cota earned Best Of Breed and a Group 3 placement, at the 2025 Westminster he went Best of Breed again with a Group 2 placement, he is the first Chesapeake in over 30 years to receive a Group placement as Westminster.

He has qualified for 2 Master Nationals , Jammed an Amateur with his good buddy Edgar Johnson running him to become QAA, Got an Award Of Merit at the 2019 ACC Show Speciality, Best Of Breed at Birth Run ACC Supported Entry, 2 All Breed Best In Shows wins and is Currently the Number 1 Chesapeake Bay Retriever (All Breed)… Besides all the fancy titles he is my main hunting buddy. Hunting all over the Midwest for Ducks , Geese, Swans and Pheasants. He has an amazing goofy temperament getting along with all dogs and loves people. As a sire he has produced multiple hunt titled offspring, Multiple Group placing offspring, Multiple champions and all around great hunting dogs.
